Mumbai Division of Central Railway has scheduled a Mega Block on the 5th and 6th lines between Thane and Diva stations on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 10:50 AM to 3:20 PM. The block will result in the diversion of suburban as well as mail and express train services, leading to delays in arrival times.
Changes to Suburban Services
- Down Fast/Semi-fast Locals:
- Trains departing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 9:57 AM (Karjat Local) and 2:42 PM (Asangaon Local) will be diverted to the Down Slow Line between Thane and Kalyan.
- These trains will halt additionally at Kalva, Mumbra, and Diva stations.
- Passengers can expect delays of approximately 10 minutes.
- Up Fast/Semi-fast Locals:
- Trains departing Kalyan from 10:28 AM (Ambarnath Local) to 3:06 PM (Khopoli Local) will be diverted to the Up Slow Line between Kalyan and Thane.
- They will halt at Diva, Mumbra, and Kalva stations before being re-diverted to the Up Fast Line at Thane.
- Delays of 10 minutes are anticipated for these services.
Impact on Mail and Express Trains
Several long-distance trains heading toward Mumbai will also experience changes:
- Trains will be diverted to the Up Fast Line between Kalyan and Thane, leading to delays of 10-15 minutes.
