Central Railway’s Mumbai Division has announced a Mega Block on Sunday, January 19, 2025, to perform essential engineering and maintenance work on its suburban sections. This will result in changes to train schedules and the temporary suspension of some services during specific hours.
The changes were notified in a release is issued by the Public Relations Department, Central Railway, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai.
DN Fast Line (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Mulund)
From 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, fast trains departing CSMT between 10:58 am and 3:10 pm will be diverted onto the DN slow line at Matunga. These trains will stop at all slow line stations between Matunga and Mulund before rejoining the fast line at Mulund. Passengers should expect delays of approximately 15 minutes.
UP Fast Line (Thane to Matunga)
From 11:25 am to 3:27 pm, fast trains departing Thane will be diverted onto the UP slow line at Mulund. They will stop at all scheduled slow line stations between Mulund and Matunga and will rejoin the fast line at Matunga, running about 15 minutes late.
Trans-Harbour Line (Thane-Vashi/Nerul)
Maintenance work on the Trans-Harbour Line will take place from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm, resulting in the suspension of all UP and DN services between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations during this time.
Cancelled local train services
DN line services from Thane to Vashi/Nerul/Panvel, departing between 10:35 am and 4:07 pm, will be cancelled. UP line services from Panvel/Nerul/Vashi to Thane, departing between 10:25 am and 4:09 pm, will also be cancelled.
