Northern parts of the country have been grappling with dense fog conditions, which has disrupted the usual rhythm of its transportation system. Thick blankets of fog have descended upon the region, resulting in numerous trains bound for Delhi to delay, posing logistical challenges for both commuters and the railway network.

At present, 18 trains to Delhi from various parts of India are running late due to dense fog conditions as of 18th January.

Low visibility and dense fog to continue in Delhi

Delhi has been witnessing cold days and foggy conditions for the past few days, bringing the visibility to lower levels at many places. 

On Wednesday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.7 degrees Celsius at 9.05 am. The mercury in Delhi in the last few days had dropped to 3.2 degrees Celsius, making the mornings extremely cold.
