Attention to the rail passengers! Indian Railways has revised the timetable of the country’s fourth Vande Bharat Express train. The train operates between New Delhi and Amb Andaura. It was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 13, 2022. This blue and white colour train is being maintained and operated by Northern Railway (NR) zone. The changes have been made due to some operational reasons. 

Revised schedule of New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express:- 

The train number 22447/22448 New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express will run six days in a week in both the directions except Tuesday. At present, the train runs on all days of the week except Friday. This new timetable will be effective from March 21, 2024. 

Distance and Travel Time of New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express:- 

The New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express covers a distance of 412 km in five hours and 15 minutes. This is the fastest train on the route followed by Daulatpur Chowk Jan Shatabdi Express and Himachal Express. Both the trains cover the same distance in 07:11 hrs and 08:15 hrs respectively. 

Coach Composition and Stoppages of New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express:- 

The New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express is a train set of 16 Coaches consisting of Executive Class and Chair Car coaches. During its journey between the two cities, this new age train halts at 4 stations. These are – Ambala Cantt Junction, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib and Una Himachal railway stations.

Significance and features of New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express:- 

The introduction of New Delhi-Amb Andaura-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express has enhanced tourism in the region and provides a comfortable and faster mode of travel. It weighs 392 tons and is capable of reaching higher speeds in a shorter duration. It can achieve a speed of 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 52 seconds, and a maximum speed of up to 180 kilometres per hour.
