The railway stations across the country are being redeveloped to enhance the passenger experience and to meet the future demand. These stations are being upgraded under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), which was launched by the Ministry of Railways in February this year to redevelop 1309 stations nationwide.

In this context, the redevelopment of Kalka railway station of Haryana is going in full swing. Upon completion, the station will offer modern amenities and improved travel experiences. The station falls under the administrative control of Northern Railway’s Ambala Division.

The station will be transformed at a par with the amalgamation of local heritage and culture in its architecture. When redeveloped, the Kalka Railway Station will offer modern facilities for its passengers’ comfort and convenience. This is in line with the government’s vision of ‘Naya Bharat’.
