Mumbai Metro services encountered disruptions on Tuesday (January 16) morning, causing inconvenience for commuters traveling between Eksar and Mandapeshwar stations.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) reported that a Metro train experienced a technical glitch, leading to a temporary halt in its operation. Although the issue has since been rectified, the aftermath has resulted in delays due to the bunching of trains on the affected route.
While the MMRDA did not provide specific details about the nature of the technical glitch, they confirmed that the problem was swiftly addressed.

In response to the disruption, some passengers reportedly resorted to walking on the tracks to reach the nearest station when the train came to a standstill.
MMRDA is working to ensure the smooth resumption of Metro services on the affected routes.
Vande Bharat train suffers brake glitch near Mumbai
A Vande Bharat Express en route from Jalna in Maharashtra to Mumbai encountered a braking system malfunction on Tuesday morning, causing a delay of approximately 30 minutes, according to officials.
The train came to a stop at Asangaon station, situated about 75 km from its starting point. Subsequently, at 11:25 am, the train resumed its journey following the resolution of the technical issue.
