United Breweries posted a moderate 5.95 per cent YoY profit growth in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025-26. The company’s profit in Q1FY26 stood at Rs 183.8 crore, while its profit in Q1FY25 was Rs 173.5 crore.
The company’s gross profit margin also declined by 50 basis points to 42.5 per cent in the quarter.
However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, the company’s profit has increased by 88.45 per cent as its profit in Q4FY25 stood at Rs 97.5 crore.
United Breweries revenue has taken a hit in the first quarter. The revenue from operations has decreased from Rs 5811 crore in Q1FY25 to Rs 5380 crore, a decline of 7.4 per cent YoY.
Volume and portfolio
United Breweries said that its sales volume grew by 11 per cent in the quarter. The company said that the sales were dampened in the corresponding quarter of FY25 due to the elections-related sales restrictions.
Further, the company added that its premium portfolio grew by 46 percent in the quarter. Company’s premium brands such as Kingfisher Ultra, Amstel Grande, and Heineken Silver were the key drivers of sales growth in the premium segment.
