India and the UK have signed a Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, effective July 15. This will allow duty-free access for 88,000 eco-friendly vehicles from India to the UK, while India gains access to the UK’s green vehicle market. The deal also includes a gradual decrease in import duties for UK-made passenger vehicles, impacting pricing strategies of British luxury car brands in India.
