French firm Technip has been awarded an approximately 100-million-euro contract by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to build a 6-million-standard-cubic-metre-per-day (mmscmd) onshore terminal at Odalarevu in Andhra Pradesh as part of the integrated development of Vashishta (VA) & S1 fields. Technip is a world leader in project management and engineering for the energy industry.
The VA & S1 fields are located 30-35 km off the Amalapuram coast in KG Basin, off the east coast of India, at water depths of 250-700 metres. The onshore terminal awarded to Technip is one of the critical components of the integrated development of VA & S1 fields, said a company release.
Technip’s scope of work for this engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract includes basic design, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, inspection and testing, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the new onshore terminal facilities, which will be integrated with the existing terminal. The hydrocarbons extracted will be transported to the proposed onshore oil and gas terminal for processing.
