Tally Solutions, an enterprise solutions provider for small and medium-sized businesses, is looking to expand its customer base from 2.7 million to over 3.5 million in the next two to three years.
The company expects the push to come from greater digitisation among SMEs and the consumption boost anticipated from the rollout of GST 2.0, which is likely to accelerate demand for ERP solutions.
Tally solutions MD says user base is tripled
“From a little under one million, the number of businesses on our platform has grown to nearly three million. Our aim is to add another half a million in the next 2–3 years,” Tejas Goenka, MD of Tally Solutions, told FE.
The revised GST regime, effective September 22, streamlined the tax structure by eliminating the 12% and 28% slabs. More than 300 items — including dairy products, medicines, insurance and consumer goods — moved to either the 5% bracket or were made tax-free.
As of now, the company serves about 2.7 million businesses with 7.5 million users globally, with 90% of them being small and medium enterprises. According to Goenka, the GST 2.0 roll out will drive stronger consumption, creating tailwinds for adoption of digital ERP tools.
Regulatory push digital first entrepreneurs driving Tally’s growth
Since the introduction of GST in 2017, compliance measures such as e-way bills and e-invoicing have steadily nudged businesses towards digitisation. Tally sees this regulatory shift, along with a new generation of digital-first entrepreneurs, as key drivers of its growth outlook.
“The entrepreneurship landscape is evolving, with many young entrepreneurs coming in with a digital-first mindset. This shift is helping drive demand for our solutions,” Goenka said.
