Bharti Enterprises on Wednesday appointed Rahul Bhatnagar as MD and chief financial officer. He will report to Bharti Enterprises chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal.
Bhatnagar’s last assignment was with PepsiCo, where he worked for 19 years in various senior-level positions. He takes over from Manoj Kohli, who has assumed the role of the executive chairman, SBG Cleantech, a joint venture between SoftBank, Bharti and Foxconn for renewable energy, Bharti Enterprises said in a statement.
“Bhatnagar in his new role will build strategic business value proposition for Bharti’s non-telecom businesses,” the company said, adding he will be responsible for strengthening the financial management and governance of these businesses and also lead new business development of the group.
Sunil Bharti Mittal said, “Bhatnagar’s vast experience will add value to our emerging business portfolio.”
