Another boost for Make in India in the defence sector. ideaForge Technology has secured an order worth Rs 137 crore from the Ministry of Defence involving the supply of mini unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) along with accessories. Mini UAVs are designed for surveillance and reconnaissance missions. The share price surged as a result.
As per the company’s filing on the stock exchanges, the delivery of the UAVs and related accessories are scheduled to be completed within 12 months. The order is domestic and will be executed entirely in India.
No promoter interest in awarding entity: ideaForge
Drone manufacturer ideaForge did not disclose the specific models or quantities involved.
This order strengthens the company’s commitment to support India’s defence capabilities with cutting-edge aerial technology.
The company clarified that none of the promoters, promoter group, or related companies have any interest in the Ministry of Defence or in awarding this contract. It also confirmed that the order does not fall under related party transactions.
