Asian Paints is planning to invest Rs 340 crore to set up a manufacturing facility in the United Arab Emirates. In an exchange filing, the company said Berger Paints Emirates, its step-down wholly owned subsidiary, is proposing to set up a paint manufacturing plant in Khalifa Economic Zones, Abu Dhabi.

Asian Paints stated that the manufacturing plant will have an initial capacity of 55,800 kilo liters per annum, spanning 100,000 sqm. The company added that this will be Berger Paints’ second manufacturing facility in the region. 

Asian Paints international business growth

Asian Paints plans to establish a manufacturing plant in the UAE comes after the company registered a 9.9 per cent revenue growth from its international business. 

The company’s international sales increased in Q2 FY26 to Rs 846 crores from Rs 769.5 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Its international business profit before exceptional items and tax in Q2 FY26 was Rs 76 crores, as compared to Rs 34.7 crores in Q2 FY25

Asian Paints prepares for production growth

Asian Paints is ramping up its production capacity across regions with significant investment commitments. Earlier this month, the company announced that it had received approval from the Cabinet Committee of Investment Promotion, Madhya Pradesh, for its planned 4 lakh kilolitre per annum capacity manufacturing facility in the state.

The company stated that in 2023, it was allotted land by the Madhya Pradesh government under an incentive scheme for its Rs 2,000 crore investment in a manufacturing plant in the state. 

The company has updated that while it has applied for environmental clearance for the project, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Committee of Investment Promotion has granted permission to the Company to commence manufacturing at the facility within 3 years from the date of receipt of EC.
