Upbit, a South Korea-based cryptocurrency exchange, resumed Aptos (APT) deposits and withdrawals. They are believed to have resumed their services after fixing an issue that saw a scam APT token incorrectly recognised as the real deal, stated Cointelegraph.
Sources revealed on September 24, 2023, that Upbit suddenly discontinued Aptos token services after noting an “abnormal deposit attempt,” prompting an inspection of the wallet system, Cointelegraph added.
“It seems that during the process of reflecting $APT coin deposits, there was a failure to check the type arguments, and all same functions transfers were recognised as the same APT native token,” Definalist, a tweeter user explained.
Furthermore, the issue is expected to have been fixed. On September 24,2023(11:00 pm local time), Upbit is expected to have confirmed that it has resumed deposits and withdrawals after completing the wallet inspection, Cointelegraph concluded.
