According to Cointelegraph, Uniswap, a decentralised exchange (DEX), plans to launch a web extension for its native wallet. With insights from an announcement made on February 27, 2024, a waitlist is available for users who wanted a uni.eth username. “We will be sharing access to the Uniswap Extension Beta in the order of username claims,” DEX explained.
Sources revealed that the Uniswap Wallet extension will enable users to send, receive, buy, and swap various tokens and altcoins directly from their web browsers, added Cointeegraph.
“When you look at major protocols which have been hacked in the past, many have occurred due to bugs which have been introduced during protocol upgrades. While there are certainly tradeoffs to this approach, by removing setOwner we are optimising for future security of stakers,” a developer explained.
Sources revealed that Uniswap will launch its V4 DEX in Q3 2024 after the upgradation of Ethereum, concluded Cointelegraph.
