Former Tech Mahindra India president Jagdish Mitra has embarked on an entrepreneurial journey with the launch of Humanize, an AI-driven integrated SaaS platform aimed at significantly reducing go-to-market time for companies. It will be done by leveraging AI and SaaS.
Humanize will be headquartered in the USA, with initial offices in Delhi and Bengaluru. The company plans to expand its presence based on customer needs. It will focus on India, West Asia, and the US in its early stages, and a long-term strategy to explore global markets.
“As we move towards new-age companies, their IT needs are evolving. One key area we have identified is the lag time between idea/planning and execution. Humanize aims to reduce the go-to-market time for its enterprise clients by 15-20%,” Mitra told FE.
NLB Services, a provider of technology and digital talent solutions, has made an undisclosed investment in Humanize. Mitra stated that the total initial investment in the venture would range between $8-10 million, although he did not disclose details about other investors or their contributions.
“We have always believed in the augmented capability of talent and technology. This investment will allow us to expand our service portfolio and create additional avenues to work with our diverse range of clients globally,” said Sachin Alug, CEO of NLB Services.
Humanize will initially operate across various sectors to develop industry-specific use cases and build expertise in pre-identified areas. “Manufacturing and automotive will be key areas of focus due to their significant role in digitisation,” Mitra said, adding that the company will also concentrate on the CPG (consumer packaged goods) and BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) sectors.
The platform will support enterprises to develop and execute solutions across four functions—customer relationship management, business process management, data management, and ERP—using a plug-and-play model
Although Mitra did not provide a revenue outlook for the initial years, he anticipates that Humanize’s revenue mix will become non-linear within three years, thanks to the strategic use of AI. He expects that by then, the platform’s IP and industry use cases will have matured, allowing the company to deliver more solutions with the same amount of manpower and time. For example, using the plug-and-play approach, the same team can work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Humanize aims to have 80-100 customer and 800-1000 employees by the end of the first five years. It expects to have a workforce of 300 in the first two years. Starting mid-next year, the company will also onboard 100 interns annually under the government’s internship scheme.
