Not all edtech companies are outcome-focused, says Diwakar Chittora of Intellipaat, which has a student-first approach that, he claims, sets it apart. “We prioritise students’ objectives in everything we do, from course design and delivery to career services,” he says. In an interview with FE’s Vikram Chaudhary, he says that lower-end roles like graphic design and content writing are susceptible to automation, while high-end jobs involving complex reasoning are less so. Excerpts:

Is generative AI a real risk to jobs?
Generative AI poses a real job risk, today. It’s vital to consider two aspects: lower-end roles like graphic design and content writing are susceptible to automation, while high-end jobs involving complex reasoning are less so. The rapid pace of technological change, with new advancements every few years, underscores the need to stay updated. At Intellipaat, we enrol 3,000-7,000 learners monthly in data science and AI courses. We’ve incorporated generative AI modules into courses to equip learners how AI tools and AI skills can help them in their respective fields.
How do you make money?
Our primary revenue vertical is B2C, accounting for a substantial 95% of our total revenues. This reflects our strong engagement with individual learners.
