According to an official release, on September 26, 2023, Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange, opened its office within the Cyber Hub at Campus Cyber Greens. It is believed that this month, there are over 70 Gemini employees based in Gurgaon. Over the next two years, Gemini plans to invest about Rs 200 crores ($24 million) to develop its centre in Gurgaon.
“India can be a leading global hub for entrepreneurship and technological development. We are thrilled to build Gemini’s presence in India as we continue our plans to upgrade the era of financial, creative, and personal freedom with crypto and Web3.0 innovation,” Pravjit Tiwana, global CTO, CEO, Gemini, Asia Pacific, explained.
The team based in Gurgaon is belived to be responsible for core platform fundamentals such as compliance, data pipelines and warehousing, security, and payments, among others, as per the official release.
“We are investing in AI-driven solutions for identity, KYC, and money flows to help uplift the crypto industry. The addition of Indian talent to our team can develop products and services for customers around the world, which can eventually expand access to crypto globally,” Tiwana concluded.
