According to Cointelegraph, AI-powered phishing scams, BRC-20 exploits, and new smart contract vulnerabilities can pose a threat to crypto projects and investors in 2024.

Sources revealed that Jesse Leclere, blockchain analyst, CertiK, warned Cointelegraph that scams will become more advanced and users should remain hyper-vigilant for well-executed exploits, added Cointelegraph.

“Phishing, evolving in its sophistication, will likely target not only individual users but also corporate systems […] using social engineering tactics tailored to the crypto context,”  Leclere explained.

It is believed that Jenny Peng, research analyst, 0xScope, warned that AI could form a key component in generating ever-more realistic “deep fakes” to fool crypto users, Cointelegraph concluded.
