According to Cointelegraph, Ben Goertzel, founder, SingularityNET, mentioned that an early prototype framework for artificial general intelligence (AGI) could be operating by next year.

On February 27, 2024, during the opening of the Beneficial AGI Summit in Panama , Goertzel, introduced a blueprint for the development of AGI. This is believed to ensure that AGI isn’t controlled by corporations or governments and can help humans, added Cointelegraph.

“We’re doing in the whole SingularityNET ecosystem. We’re building decentralised AI infrastructures that are agnostic with respect to what AI approach you may want to take,” Goertzel explained, adding the aim was that a “12-year-old genius from Tajikistan” could contribute to a breakthrough.

Sources revealed that Goertzel plans to use open source code, decentralised infrastructure and governance, open-ended cognitive architecture, diverse AGI algorithms, ethically sourced and managed data, among others, concluded Cointelegraph.
