IT major Accenture and Nvidia announced the expansion of their collaboration with the creation of a new business group aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across enterprises. This newly formed Accenture-Nvidia Business Group will train around 30,000 professionals globally. The goal is to assist clients in transforming their processes and scaling AI adoption, specifically through the use of AI agents.
In a press statement, Accenture said, “the new Accenture-Nvidia Business Group will push forward the momentum with Generative AI (Gen AI) and help clients implement agentic AI systems – the next evolution of Gen AI – to drive productivity and growth.”
Agentic AI systems differ from traditional AI as they can interpret user intent, create workflows, and redesign entire processes, rather than simply relying on human prompts or automating pre-set business tasks. The group will also work to establish the groundwork for agentic AI features through Accenture’s AI Refinery, which leverages the entire Nvidia AI suite.
These tools will assist businesses in areas such as process transformation, AI-driven simulations, and the development of sovereign AI capabilities. Accenture’s Gen AI-related contracts have seen steady growth, with $1 billion in bookings recorded during the fourth quarter and $3 billion over the entire fiscal year.
Additionally, Accenture is establishing a network of hubs specialising in engineering and technical expertise. These hubs will focus on the application and scaling of foundation models, which face challenges in terms of accuracy, cost, and compliance when implemented on a large scale.
