A Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas of the ndian Air Force (IAF) crashed in the Jawahar Nagar of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on Tuesday, while it was on its way to take part in the Bharat Shakti military exercise being held in Pokhran.
The pilot ejected safely before the crash.
According to IAF, a Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas crashed near Jaisalmer today during an operational training sortie. The pilot ejected safely. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
A Court of Inquiry (CoI) has been constituted to find out the cause of the accident.
This is reportedly the first crash of the indigenous Tejas jet since it first got commissioned 23 years ago in 2001.
