Tiger Triumph-24, a bilateral tri-service humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) exercise of India and US is scheduled on the Eastern Seaboard from 18 to 31 Mar. The training exercise is designed to improve readiness and cooperation between the two forces is in line with the partnership between both countries.
The first exercise took place in 2019, for a period of nine days. This year, the exercise will start with the Harbour Phase scheduled from 18 to 25 Mar. The Joint exercise would see an end on the 14th day with the closing ceremony on completion of the sea phase.
From Indian side the exercise would include Indian Navy ships with integral helicopters, landing craft, Indian Navy planes, Indian Army personnel and vehicles. Indian Air Force aircraft, helicopters, and the Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT) will also participate. The United States would be represented by US Navy ships carrying troops from the US Marine Corps and the US Army. The exercise aims to improve interoperability for HADR operations and modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enable rapid and smooth coordination between forces from both countries.

Personnel from both navies would take part in training visits, subject matter expert exchanges, sporting events, and social interactions. After completing the Harbour Phase, the ships and personnel would sail for the Sea Phase, where they would conduct Maritime, Amphibious, and HADR operations in accordance with the inserted situations.
India and the US have a defence alliance. This year, the United States also took part in Milan-24, an Indian Navy-initiated multilateral naval exercise with 50 other countries held in February. On March 8, both countries took part in Sea-Defenders 2024, an Indian and US Coast Guard cooperative maritime security exercise in Port Blair.
