However, many are unaware of its significant role in producing Bailey Type Portable Steel Bridges. GRSE holds over 60 percent of the Indian market for these modular, easy-to-maintain, and reliable portable bridges.
To date, the company has supplied more than 5,400 Bailey bridges, with the Indian Army and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) being the primary customers. These bridges are especially crucial for operations in border areas and challenging terrains.
The Indian Army relies heavily on these bridges during disaster relief efforts. Specialist Army engineers deploy the bridges from reserve stock to provide quick access in affected regions.
