Swiggy has launched a new app, SNACC, aimed at delivering quick bites, beverages, and meals in just 15 minutes. The app went live on 7 January in select parts of Bengaluru and will expand to other regions soon. From what is understood, SNACC is designed to cater to the growing demand for fast food delivery, offering a menu that includes categories like Indian Breakfast, Coffee, Bakes, Cold Beverages, Eggs, and Protein. Some items are sourced from third-party providers, while others are tied to brands like Blue Tokai and The Whole Truth.
SNACC’s launch follows the success of Swiggy’s 15-minute food delivery service, Bolt, which was introduced in October. Bolt quickly expanded from six cities to over 400, and by the July-September period, it accounted for 5% of Swiggy’s total food delivery orders, according to media reports. Unlike Bolt, which works with partner eateries, SNACC currently operates from a centralized location with pre-stocked products, though the model may evolve as the offering scales up. This move highlights Swiggy’s commitment to meeting the growing consumer demand for fast food delivery, and it is likely to intensify the competition in the quick commerce space.
This latest offering by Swiggy comes in the playground of the 10 minute food delivery segment with several competitors already fighting tooth and nail for the fastest title. With Blinkit introducing Bistro for fast food deliveries, Zepto launching Zepto Cafe for 10-minute deliveries, and Swish, Magicpin, and Zing gaining momentum. Ola is expanding its 10-minute Ola Dash service nationwide.
