Prasanth Kumar, CEO, GroupM Media (India), has been re-elected as the president of the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) for the term 2024-25 during the Annual General Body Meeting held in Mumbai. Kumar’s leadership is expected to guide the association in promoting the interests of advertising agencies in India. Rana Barua, Group CEO of Havas India, South East & North Asia, including Japan and South Korea, was unanimously elected as the Vice President of AAAI. Barua’s extensive experience in the advertising sector will support Kumar in driving the association’s objectives.

With the exceptional team of AAAI members and the broader ecosystem, I am confident we will continue to shape the future of our industry to greater heights,” Prasanth Kumar, president,  AAAI, said.

The newly elected members of the AAAI Board include Sam Balsara from Madison Communications Pvt Ltd, Tanya Goyal from Everest Brand Solutions Pvt Ltd, Tapas Gupta from BEI Confluence Communication Ltd, Vishandas Hardasani from Matrix Publicities and Media India Pvt Ltd, Mohit Joshi from Havas Media India Pvt Ltd, Santosh Kumar from Innocean Worldwide Communications Pvt Ltd, Kunal Lalani from Crayons Advertising Pvt Ltd, Rohan Mehta from Kinnect Pvt Ltd, Chandramouli Muthu from Maitri Advertising Works Pvt Ltd in Cochin, Vikram Sakhuja from Platinum Advertising Pvt Ltd, Kalyan Sarkar from Standard Publicity Pvt Ltd, and K Srinivas from Sloka Advertising Pvt Ltd in Hyderabad. Immediate Past President Anupriya Acharya will serve as an ex-officio member of the AAAI Board for 2024-25.

The AAAI, established in 1945, is a not-for-profit trade association representing the interests of advertising agencies in India. With a diverse membership base comprising small, medium, and large agencies, the AAAI accounts for nearly 80% of the country’s advertising business. The association aims to promote the industry’s interests and foster its contribution to the nation’s economy.
