Weekends are all about down time. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs a breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web-series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Ankit Agrawal, director, Zed Black Agarbatti, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
As an entrepreneur, my daily schedule is busy and hectic. But whenever I get free time, I like to relax in my bed and watch my favourite shows on Netflix
How do you spend your weekends?
Weekends are kept for family and friends. Saturday is the time to hang out with friends if I am not travelling. We usually head out for a nice dinner and conversations. On Sunday, time is dedicated for family, spending time with my children doing their favourite things, heading out for a drive in the evenings and other similar activities which relaxes me.
What are your favourite gadgets?
I am not a big gadget freak. But I cannot live without three main gadgets in my life, those are my laptop, my mobile phone and my television. As majority of my work is conducted through my laptop and mobile and television so I can binge on my favourite Netflix show.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
There are few options that come to mind if I wanted to change my career. I would love to be a part of the travel industry or be a travel entrepreneur as I love to travel. One more thing I would love to do is to own a vineyard where I can grow and taste excellent wines or be a wine sommelier or a wine taster who can taste the wines around the world.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
As mentioned earlier, I love to travel to any major city across the world. I have been lucky enough to visit countries in the six continents. But my favourite location to travel in Europe for its heritage, architecture, adventure sports and food.
A TV show, movie, and an ad campaign that you highly recommend watching.
TV shows I liked watching were Narcos and House of Cards. I am not a big movie buff, but I loved 3 Idiots a lot for its acting and storytelling. And the ad campaign which I recently liked was by CRED which they portrayed their brand ambassadors in a unique way which the world hadn’t seen before.
