Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Manoj Adlakha, founder and CEO, RedBeryl Lifestyle Services, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
I am an avid follower of sports, particularly tennis, soccer, and cricket, and I also enjoy watching engaging content on OTT platforms.
How do you spend your weekends?
I have a close-knit circle of friends with whom I make a point to catch up regularly. Our gatherings are mostly impromptu, which adds to spontaneity and enjoyment.
What are your favorite gadgets?
My smartphone is essential to me. For 20 years, I would upgrade my iPhone every September. However, this year, I switched to a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, which features a stunning, immersive 19 cm screen designed for cinematic viewing and PC-style productivity on a tablet-sized device. Transitioning from a long-term Apple user to Android took some time, however, I am now thoroughly enjoying the experience.
Which is your favorite vacation spot?
In India, my wife and I visit Goa at least once a quarter. We are now looking to explore other destinations such as the backwaters, Lakshadweep, and Nilgiri. Internationally, we are interested in visiting London and Mauritius.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching
I enjoy TV shows like the latest season of “Mirzapur,” “Hijack,” and “Lincoln Lawyer.” In terms of movies, I have recently watched “Article 370,” “Srikanth,” and “Federer (12 Final Days).” I also appreciate the “#makeitblue💙” ad campaign by RedBeryl for the recently concluded T20 World Cup.
