Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Suchita Vishnoi, co- founder and CMO, GatewAI talks to BrandWagon Online about her weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
I love to spend time in the outdoors when not working. With remote working & the ability to integrate work and life, traveling across the world to discover new countries, places, people & cuisines has been possible & is one of my passions.
How do you spend your weekends?
Weekends are slow paced with some digital detox. I spend my time catching up and meeting friends, making meaningful conversations. Fitness is an important aspect of my life, so during the weekend I also ensure I spend longer time at the gym, or do a few extra rounds on my cycle if the weather permits.
What are your favorite gadgets?
A smart phone with a constant wifi connection! Today it’s a necessity, we cannot do anything without using the most essential apps, having to access the OTP for any transactions or just staying connected to the world – everything is on our finger tips. It’s a powerful gadget that meets every requirement.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
I’m a marketer by heart, so I’ve never thought of doing anything other than what I’ve done past two decades. However, if it were anything different, it would be most aligned to marketing and would have to do with design, creativity, exploration or in the field of human interactions, real-life communication.
Which is your favorite vacation spot?
Parts of Europe – each little country has so much history and beauty. It’s so accessible. The old towns have tales to tell and the culinary excellence has so much to offer. It’s a trove of breathtaking landscapes and culturally rich destinations. The panoramic views and waterfront hues leave me amazed, wanting more. I spent last 2 years exploring a few countries in Europe and can’t wait to go there again.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching
For a TV show, Shark Tank India is very inspiring and engrossing. It’s a showcase of new India with tons of innovation & new ideas which brings solutions to complex problems & a strong entrepreneurial spirit of self-belief.
For a movie, I would suggest“Eat Pray Love”. It explores themes of personal growth, self-discovery, adventure & transformation, and gives a message on embracing life’s imperfections and how one can find inner peace, self-love and balance when being open to the world.
Amongst ad campaigns, the Amul campaigns stand out. They are so versatile, contextual and relevant even today. The brand has stayed relevant through the years & never fails to surprise us. Its classic & evergreen. The Ad series reflects how adapting to change while keeping its core intact is a powerful way of communicating in this world.
