What is the one thing you like to do when not working?

I love to read. It used to be a lot of fiction 10 years back, but now it’s all non-fiction. I read across domains and subjects, such as history, economics, psychology, physics, investment biographies etc. I’m not much of a news person, but I like the editorial/opinion sections of some newspapers too.

How do you spend your weekends?

My weekends are mostly spent with family. We could just be having some fun together, playing something, stepping out for a meal or meeting others, but together as a family. Beyond that, I mostly catch up on reading or other chores at home. I’m not a party person, so I don’t step out too often.

What are your favourite gadgets?

My Kindle tops the list of favourite gadgets as it’s my primary reading tool. I don’t ever travel without it. I spend more time on my Kindle than I do on my phone on a good day. The iPad comes a close second, as it’s convenient for taking notes and I have a habit of extensive note-taking as it helps me think.

Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?

I’ve always admired the armed forces. And that’s where I wanted to be growing up. I had also submitted my application and would have gone ahead with one of the lines of either army or navy, but life had other plans for me, evidently.

Which is your favourite vacation spot?

The Maldives has been one of my top choices because I love diving. It’s a location close to India, with easy access and multiple choices for anyone who loves the ocean and marine life.

A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching

Believe it or not, I don’t keep a TV connection at home! I prefer other activities. But from my earlier years, I mostly enjoyed watching comedies, such as a season of Friends or Big Bang Theory. Otherwise, it was all about sports.
