Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Bala Sarda, CEO and founder, VAHDAM India talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, love travelling, especially for short weekend getaways. I also have a workout routine and also play lawn tennis quite often.
It’s a convenient way to stay fit and balanced, especially on busy days. Additionally, I like to indulge in watching series or listening to podcasts. It’s a great way to get your mind off the mundane things.
How do you spend your weekends?
Weekends are generally about spending time with friends and family, reading a book and also spending more time working out or playing my favourite sports like Lawn Tennis or Golf.
What are your favourite gadgets?
My current favourite gadget has to be my Oura Ring! I’ve been wearing it for over 3 years, and it’s been super effective in tracking my sleep patterns and how my daily activities affect my rest. It’s been a real game-changer for me.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If I weren’t the CEO of VAHDAM India, I’d probably be leading another startup or company. Ever since I was 10, I’ve had this entrepreneurial drive, always dreaming of building something valuable for people. So, if not here, I’d be steering the ship elsewhere.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
Last year, I had an incredible time hiking around Mont Blanc, crossing through Italy, France, and Switzerland on foot. It was such an amazing adventure, both mentally and physically challenging. I’d love to plan another trip like that soon. I also love spending time in Goa, and I try to go for the weekend whenever my schedule allows.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching
The Shawshank Redemption is my all-time favourite movie. I’m also highly inspired by the docu-series The Last Dance.
