Capgemini announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire Syniti, a company specialising in enterprise data management software and services with a global presence. The acquisition is aimed at enhancing Capgemini’s data-led solutions, particularly for large-scale SAP transformations, including the transition to SAP S/4HANA.

Syniti, headquartered in the United States, has been focused on data-driven digital transformation for over 15 years. The company employs more than 1,200 experts in data quality, migration, and governance, working with major enterprises in sectors such as life sciences, aerospace and defence, manufacturing, consumer products, retail, and automotive. Syniti supports key business transitions such as mergers and acquisitions, ERP migrations and consolidations, cloud migrations, and data compliance.

The Syniti Knowledge Platform, a cloud-based data management solution, is a core component of Syniti’s offerings. The platform facilitates collaboration across business stakeholders to support business transformation initiatives and has been marketed as SAP Advanced Data Migration & Management by Syniti for nearly a decade.

“A strong data foundation is key to enable relevant, trusted and quality insights. It’s a top priority for clients as they look to unlock further value from their enterprise data thanks to generative AI. Syniti and Capgemini share the philosophy that digital transformation will always require data transformation to drive critical business benefits. Syniti is a leader in its field and a trusted global partner for major SAP data migrations. Its global team will reinforce Capgemini’s data-driven digital core business transformation services,” Aiman Ezzat, chief executive officer, Capgemini Group, said.

Capgemini’s acquisition of Syniti is intended to strengthen its offerings for organisations seeking to improve their SAP business applications and processes with a reliable data foundation. This move is part of Capgemini’s broader strategy to enhance its capabilities in digital transformation.

“Capgemini and Syniti have long recognised the importance of data, and that the complexity of data work requires technical, business and industry skills in order to deliver real business benefits. Capgemini’s deep industry expertise and leadership in data & AI services highly complement Syniti’s data first approach in the market, to ensure that more organisations bring data to the forefront of their business and digital transformation projects. Both organisations have a deep commitment to innovation and client satisfaction, and our team is excited by the prospect of joining this global leader,”  Kevin Campbell, CEO,  Syniti, said.

As per the company, the transaction is due to close in the coming months subject to regulatory approval and other customary conditions for a transaction of this nature.
