Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Salloni Ghodawat, Director and COO, Ghodawat Consumer Ltd, talks to BrandWagon Online about her weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
In my leisure time, I find great joy in travelling. Exploring new cultures, meeting people from different walks of life, and soaking in the world’s diversity fascinates me. My ultimate dream is to visit all 195 countries one day—an ambition I hold close to my heart.
How do you spend your weekends?
Weekends are all about family for me. I cherish the time I spend with them, whether engaging in small excursions, meaningful conversations, or simply unwinding the day. These small moments keep me grounded and rejuvenated.
What are your favourite gadgets?
Honestly, I’m not a gadget person at all. While, I appreciate the convenience and functionality they offer. I like to keep things simple and not get too involved in the latest technological trends.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
I’ve always been intrigued by the world of finance. In fact, at one point, I envisioned myself as an investment banker, perhaps working with the Wall Street Journal. That interest led me to pursue my CFA qualification. Although life took me down a different path, that aspiration still holds a special place in my journey.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
Italy remains my favourite vacation destination. The country is rich in history, culture, and cuisine a wonderful place to unwind. The combination of scenic beauty and historical significance makes every visit a memorable experience.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign that you highly recommend watching.
I highly recommend Billions as it has incredibly engaging content and offers a fascinating glimpse into the high-stakes world of finance and power. Also, The Family Man is a fantastic choice for something more relatable and nuanced. Both are worth watching for their unique narratives.
