If I had to pivot completely, I’d love to run a thoughtfully curated beachside café-bar.

What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
I genuinely enjoy being outdoors – whether it’s a quiet morning walk, a jog, or just sitting with a cup of coffee, taking in the world around me. It gives me the mental space to clear my head and gain perspective. These walks often turn into thoughtful conversations – ranging from science and spirituality to the latest book we are reading. It’s a grounding ritual that keeps me both curious and connected.
Weekends are my time to reset – physically, mentally, and emotionally. I usually begin with some unhurried reading over the morning paper, followed by a relaxed breakfast and spontaneous outings or small family rituals. I also stay disciplined about my fitness – mixing strength training, cardio, and long walks. These moments of reflection and routine are essential – they don’t slow me down, they build momentum. I return to work recharged, with clarity and purpose.
What are your favourite gadgets?
I operate entirely within the Apple ecosystem – with two iPhones (work and personal), an iPad, a MacBook Air, and an iMac. It helps me stay organised, connected, and efficient. Despite repeated temptations, I’ve stayed away from the Apple Watch, finding it a bit intrusive – though I do acknowledge the health insights I’m missing out on.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If I had to pivot completely, I’d love to run a thoughtfully curated beachside café-bar. A place where people connect over a classic Old Fashioned cocktail or a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. I enjoy the craft of creating memorable experiences – from mixology to ambiance, maybe even with some Spanish music playing in the background. It blends creativity, hospitality, and human connection – qualities that I deeply value, whatever the profession.
I don’t have a single favourite – each destination offers something unique. But some experiences have stayed with me. Trekking to Machu Picchu during a solo trip to Peru was deeply reflective – discovering the Incan way of life and its unexpected parallels with Indian culture. In Ushuaia, the southernmost city on Earth, I witnessed glaciers calving into the ocean – an awe-inspiring sight. I also did a glacier landing in Alaska, which felt almost surreal. Travel, for me, is a way to recharge, expand my worldview, and understand life through a global lens.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend
For TV shows, I’ve enjoyed a wide spectrum — from the speculative brilliance of Black Mirror, to the light drama of Manifest and Suits, to the comfort viewing of Friends. Each one offers something unique: deep reflection, inspiration, or sheer entertainment.
In advertising, I still find the Happydent campaign exceptional — a masterclass in turning an everyday product into a creative delight.
