Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs a breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Rajul Tandon, Founder and CEO, Enalytix, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
I love to go on a run. It’s more than just exercise for me, it’s both my energy booster and my personal “Wi-Fi signal” for new ideas. There’s something about the rhythm of my footsteps and the fresh air that helps me connect the dots, untangle problems, and sometimes even stumble upon entirely new possibilities. Many of my best ideas have appeared somewhere between kilometre two and three. By the time I’m done, I’m not just recharged physically but also mentally clearer about what to work on next.
How do you spend your weekends?
Weekends are all about catching up with family and taking a pause from the week’s hustle. I like to think of it as stepping off the dance floor to get the balcony view, just to check if we’re really moving in the right direction. It’s a time to slow down, enjoy unhurried conversations over meals, and reconnect with what matters outside of work deadlines. Sometimes that pause gives me a fresh perspective; other times, it’s simply about being present and soaking in those small, grounding moments.
What are your favourite gadgets?
My noise-cancelling AirPods are my absolute favourite. They’re like my portable zone of focus, helping me tune in when I need to work deeply and tune out all the unnecessary noise. Whether I’m on an important call, out for a run, or simply lost in my favourite playlist while travelling, they create a bubble of clarity around me. It’s not just about blocking sound; it’s about creating headspace, no matter where I am.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
A piano player — without a doubt. I’ve always been fascinated by the way those black and white keys can create an entire world of emotions. The sound, the magic, the ability to make people’s hearts sing, literally, feels like one of the most beautiful jobs in the world. Playing the piano, to me, is about telling a story without words, and I think there’s something incredibly powerful about that kind of connection.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
Goa and Chail, for very different reasons. Goa, with its endless horizon, reminds me to dream big and stay fluid, while Chail, nestled in the mountains, offers a serene, almost meditative quiet. The vastness of the ocean and the majesty of the mountains both have a way of putting things in perspective. They make me realise how small our daily stresses really are in the grand scheme of things.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching
For ad campaigns, Amul Ads are unbeatable. They’ve mastered the art of being witty, topical, and culturally relevant, often within hours of an event. Their work proves that great advertising is as much about timing as it is about creativity.
For TV shows, I’d say Suits is the all-time favourite. Harvey’s swag, Mike Ross’s sharp mind, their unbeatable chemistry, and the constant curveballs keep you hooked from episode one. Beyond the drama, it’s the themes of trust, mentorship, resilience, and workplace friendships that make it memorable. These are dynamics we can all relate to, whether we’re in law, marketing, or any other field.
