Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Advait Kumar, founder, Boon, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
I like to stay abreast of things happening around the world, so I read a lot of news, articles, and listen to podcasts.
How do you spend your weekends?
I have a four month old, so weekends are dedicated to him and my wife now.
What are your favourite gadgets?
Honestly, I have started weening off of as many gadgets as possible, I have even stopped using laptop for a desktop and I like to keep my phone away. However, in the broad definition of “gadgets”, I am obsessed with great coffee so coffee makers. A gadget that I really admire at work is the Flir Thermal Camera, its such a fantastic tool with so many applications, I have used it at home to detect leaks in walls, we have used it for solar, for electric wiring for heat signatures in our fridge.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
Academia, my parents were professors at IIT Kanpur. Specifically, in the field of solar or semiconductors.
Which is your favorite vacation spot?
Lombok, Indonesia (Its a great diving spot)
