The Job
Branding in fintech goes far beyond creatives and campaigns — it’s about decoding the complex consumer psyche, building brand trust, simplifying complex ideas, and staying authentic to your audience with precise messaging. At Olyv, that’s the core of what I do. My role is to make credit feel approachable and relevant. Financial awareness and wisdom don’t come naturally to people. That’s where a strong, empathetic brand voice becomes essential that understands its consumers and assists them with the best available solutions. The quantum of the ‘customer first’ approach practiced by brands differentiates them from being an exceptional brand vis-à-vis a good brand.
The Weekdays
My weekdays are structured but dynamic. Mornings typically begin with short team syncs to align on priorities and performance. The rest of the day is divided between campaign planning, creative reviews, and collaborating with product and business growth teams. We spend a lot of time understanding the customer behaviour and feedback, it’s the foundation for everything we do in the brand. I try to reserve a bit of time in the evenings to assess the pipeline of work and upcoming future projects to plan well in time.
The Weekends
Weekends are for switching off from screens and logging into life. I unwind by going for a good 2-hour swim. Swimming helps me keep my physical and mental health intact. I also love to go on long drives. A good playlist always helps. I prefer to use this time for self-reflections both at a personal as well as professional level.
The Toys
I prefer a minimal but effective setup. I use a MacBook Air (M2) for most of my work. For deep work sessions, I rely on my Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones. Not sure whether cars can be counted in this category, but I also like to chase technologies across mobility segments to add to my fleet. I am a big fan of German engineering and love to explore variants in the luxury segment.
The Logos
There are a few brands I truly admire. Nike, for its consistent, purpose-led storytelling. Apple, for its seamless product design and focus on experience. Spotify, for how it balances data and emotion through personalisation. Zomato, for its voice, which is bold and culturally relevant. And of course, Olyv, for the mission we’re building every day. We’re focused on simplifying finance, and doing it in a way that feels modern, honest, and user-first.
