Following the resignation of its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Girish Kousgi, PNB Housing Finance announced key appointments to its senior leadership. In a regulatory filing on August 2, the mortgage lender said that the board of directors have approved two appointments in its leadership team.
Appointment #1: Who is Jatul Anand?
Jatul Anand, a Function Head, has been designated as Executive Director (non-board member), effective August 2, 2025. He will be overall in-charge of Prime and Emerging Business (sales, credit, product and collections).
Before this decision, Jatul Anand was the Chief Credit & Collections Officer of PNB Housing Finance Limited. He had joined the company on June 19, 2013 and served for more than 12 years. With an overall experience of 22 years, Jatul Anand holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Delhi and has completed a course from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. Previously, he was associated with companies like ICICI Bank Limited and Standard Chartered Bank.
Appointment #2: Who is Valli Sekar?
Further, Valli Sekar, also a Function Head, has been designated as Chief Business Officer – Affordable Business. She will be overall in-charge of Affordable Business (sales, credit, product and collections) with effect from August 02, 2025.
Valli Sekar was the Chief Sales and Collection Officer – Affordable Business of PNB Housing Finance Limited. She joined the company on June 6, 2022. Valli Sekar has an overall experience of 25 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Tirunelveli. Previously, she was associated with Shriram Housing finance, Mahindra Housing Finance, Aadhar Housing finance and others.
Girish Kousgi’s resignation & the after-effect of announcement
Earlier on July 30, Girish Kousgi had tendered his resignation from the position of the managing director and CEO of the company, which was accepted during a meeting held on July 31. His departure will be effective from October 28, 2025.
On Friday, shares of PNB Housing Finance had dropped sharply by 17.44 per cent. PNB Housing, later in a notice to the exchanges, had said that Kousgi has resigned to pursue career aspirations outside the organization. The company assured stakeholders that its business strategy and growth trajectory remain firmly intact.
PNB Housing had also assured that the company board will ‘immediately’ commence a search for a seasoned professional with proven expertise and industry experience, to fill the position.
On Monday, shares of PNB Housing Finance were down 4.25 per cent at 11:45 am at a trading price of Rs 773.70.
