Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) delivered a record performance in November 2025, handling 4.89 million passengers, as festive-season and early winter travel demand remained strong across domestic and international routes.

Record-Breaking

According to an official statement, the airport set its three highest single-day passenger records during the month, peaking at 1.76 lakh passengers on November 29, the highest ever for the airport. This followed another operational milestone when CSMIA recorded 1,036 aircraft movements on November 21, its busiest day by flights. In total, the airport handled around 27,960 aircraft movements during the month. Domestic traffic crossed 3.4 million passengers, while international volumes exceeded 1.4 million, reflecting broad-based demand.

Busiest Corridors

Among overseas destinations, Dubai emerged as the busiest route with 2.09 lakh passengers, followed by London Heathrow (1.12 lakh) and Abu Dhabi (1.00 lakh). On the domestic network, Delhi led traffic with 6.09 lakh passengers, ahead of Bengaluru (4.36 lakh) and Chennai (2.07 lakh).

On November 29 alone, domestic passengers accounted for about 1.22 lakh, while international travellers crossed 54,000.
