The Uttar Pradesh government will be initiating helicopter services to Ayodhya from six districts in the state by the end of this month. The services will facilitate convenient travel for pilgrims and visitors from Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mathura, and Agra. In an additional initiative, the state government is also introducing an aerial darshan of Ayodhya and the renowned Ram temple. Helicopter rides for this purpose will commence from a helipad near the tourism guesthouse along the banks of the Saryu River.
Fixed Fare for Aerial Tours
Officials have set the fare for the aerial darshan at Rs 3,539 per person, ensuring an affordable and inclusive experience for those embarking on the helicopter tour.
Varied Fares for Different Routes
The helicopter service from Gorakhpur to Ayodhya, covering 126 km in 40 minutes, will have a fare of Rs 11,327 per person. Similarly, flights from Varanasi and Lucknow will be priced at Rs 14,159 per person for durations of 55 minutes and 45 minutes, respectively.
Consistent Pricing for Prayagraj, Mathura, and Agra Routes
For a 50-minute flight from Prayagraj, the fare will be Rs 14,159 per person, while flights from Mathura and Agra, lasting 135 minutes, will be priced at Rs 35,399 per person. The consistent pricing aims to ensure transparency and accessibility for travelers across different routes.
Principal Secretary of Tourism, Mukesh Meshram, revealed that helicopter services from Lucknow will kick off later this month. The government has already fixed the fare for these services, ensuring transparency and accessibility for travelers.
Advance Bookings Required for Aerial Darshan
Interested individuals seeking the aerial darshan experience will need to make advance bookings, as informed by the official. The aerial tour, lasting a maximum of 15 minutes, will cover key landmarks such as the Ram temple, Hanumangarhi, and Saryu ghat.
