Indigo has launched its flight service from Agartala’s Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport to Hyderabad on Monday. The new flight service was inaugurated by Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu. The announcement of this new route aims to enhance the air network between Tripura and Telangana. The opening of the new flight service began with the traditional lighting of a ceremonial lamp.

Governor Nallu while addressing the event, highlighted the significance of improved air connectivity in promoting regional growth and integration. Indigo Airlines is known for its broad domestic network and is all set to provide services on this route. Flyers from Tripura will find it more convenient to plan their travel for Hyderabad which is one of the leading metros cities.
Indigo International Expansion with Bengaluru-Mauritius flight
Meanwhile in a separate development, Indigo also announced the launch of direct flights from Bengaluru to Mauritius. Indigo flights will start flying on this route from 19 November 2024. The airline is the first to reintroduce this route after the COVID-19 pandemic. Indigo will provide services on this route for four weekly direct flights. The announcement of these flights will help in fostering connectivity between the two countries.
With this launch, Mauritius will be Indigo’s 35th international and 123rd in terms of overall destination. The expansion highlights the airline’s growing dedication towards leisure as well as business travellers. Indigo’s flight number 6E 1861 will leave from Bengaluru to Mauritius at 03:20 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays and will reach Mauritius at 07:45 AM. The returning flight number 6E 1862 will depart from Mauritius at 9:30 AM and will arrive at Bengaluru at 16:45 on the same day.
