The Microsoft outage ranks among the most significant IT disruptions in history, impacting numerous sectors globally. Services across industries, from healthcare to aviation, were affected, illustrating the extensive reach of the incident.

Due to this, major US airlines including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines had halted their flights. Multiple carriers had to  ground flights because of the technical glitch.

Amid the chaos, a 12-hour time lapse of the aircraft traffic of American Airlines, Delta, and United Airlines after the outage forced grounding of planes, hindering operations.

Airports across the globe had faced disruptions during the outage. Major airlines in India like IndiGo, Air India and SpiceJet acknowledged being hit by the technical issue. Many airlines resorted to manual check-ins. A picture of a handwritten boarding pass issued by IndiGo also went viral.
