SpiceJet has announced the launch of 32 new flights effective from 27 October for its upcoming winter schedule. Out of the newly announced flights, 30 will cater to domestic routes across India whereas the rest two will be for linking Delhi with Thailand and Phuket. The flights will be available for daily operations. The expansion of the airline fleet has been done to enhance connectivity and provide more options for the flyers.
New routes announced by SpiceJet
To meet growing demand several fresh routes have been announced by the airline. Popular destinations like Goa, Varanasi, Patna, and Gorakhpur will be connected with Mumbai. Moreover, Patna has been connected to Kolkata, Bengaluru, Guwahati, and Ahmedabad while Chennai will be connected to Pune and Port Blair. SpiceJet new services will also be inclusive of operations from Delhi to Phuket, Amritsar, and Gorakhpur. Port Blair flights will also be available from Kolkata.
The Chief Business Officer of SpiceJet, Debojo Maharshi shared his excitement on the expansion announcement, stating ”We are delighted to launch additional 32 flights to our network. The expansion showcases our dedication to enhancing seamless connectivity, and affordable air travel, and to boost customer experience. We aim to deliver more reliability and convenience, ensuring our flyers reach their destinations safely with our upgraded schedules and increased frequencies.”
SpiceJet’s future expansion plan
The airline is all set to add 10 more new aircraft to its fleet by November 2024, as plan of its growth strategy. It is also planning to add more fleets in the future to meet the passenger’s demands and to provide them with wider options in its network. Under the UDAN scheme, the airline has already introduced flights on 10 October for Shivamogga in Karnataka with Hyderabad and Chennai. To tap high travel demand in Kochi and Chennai, SpiceJet has also begun to double the daily services between the two cities.
