Construction of the runway, passenger terminal, and control tower is progressing rapidly. Contracts have recently been awarded for ground handling, commercial area operations, and essential maintenance services.
Additionally, the authority has also finalised the agreements with several airlines to facilitate flight connections from Noida International Airport. The airport authority underscored its collaboration with Tata Projects Limited and other key stakeholders to ensure continuous progress in construction activities and readiness for operational commencement.
Noida International Airport set to enhance connectivity
Once completed, Noida International Airport will serve as a vital link connecting the greater Delhi area and Western Uttar Pradesh to domestic and international destinations. The airport aims to blend Swiss efficiency with Indian hospitality, offering passengers a comprehensive range of commercial attractions and services.
Setting a new benchmark in environmental sustainability, the airport is poised to be India’s first net zero emissions airport. Upon inauguration, the airport will feature one runway and a terminal capable of accommodating 12 million passengers annually, with plans for future expansion in subsequent phases.
Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) has been established to oversee the development, construction, and operation of this ambitious greenfield project.
Compared to Delhi’s bustling airport, which manages approximately 1,200 daily flights, Noida International Airport is set to commence operations with 65 daily flights, marking a significant step in regional air connectivity.
