Air India flights: Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has issued a new threat against Air India, warning passengers not to travel with the airline between November 1 and 19. This alarming announcement coincides with what Pannun claims to be the “40th anniversary of the Sikh genocide” in India, as per media reports.
Pannun, the head of the separatist organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), suggests that there may be a potential attack on Air India flights during this period. This threat is not unprecedented; Pannun had previously issued a similar warning last year, highlighting a troubling pattern in his rhetoric.
As a prominent figure in the Khalistan separatist movement, Pannun aims to establish an independent Sikh state called Khalistan from India’s Punjab region. Based in the United States, he uses his legal expertise to further the cause of Khalistan through political and legal channels.
Under Pannun’s leadership, SFJ has organized referendums and campaigns designed to raise international awareness of their cause. The organization leverages digital platforms to promote the idea of Khalistan’s independence, with Pannun personally involved in filing lawsuits against Indian officials and advocating for what he refers to as “Referendum 2020,” aimed at gauging Sikh support for the movement.
Despite being designated a terrorist in India, Pannun continues to operate actively within the international political arena, particularly in countries such as Canada, the UK, and the US, where he seeks support for the Khalistan movement. His actions and threats pose a significant concern for Indian authorities, particularly in light of rising tensions surrounding the separatist agenda.
