IndiGo’s flight chaos has now stretched into its second week, and thousands of flights have been cancelled over the past few days, causing major trouble for passengers across the country. Even though IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers said the airline’s operations were improving, nearly 220 flights were cancelled on Wednesday and more cancellations are expected today.
The disruption began on December 2 and today, December 11 marks the tenth day of the crisis. IndiGo has submitted a revised winter schedule to the DGCA as instructed. On Wednesday alone, the airline cancelled around 220 flights at major airports, including Delhi and Mumbai. The main reasons behind the crisis are staff shortages and new regulations for pilots and crew.
How to check IndiGo flight status
Go to IndiGo’s website or app, open “Manage Booking,” enter your PNR, and check if your flight is cancelled.
You can either take a full refund or rebook the next available flight for free.
