IAF Fighter Jet Malfunction Near Pokhran: An object from an Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter aircraft fell in the Pokhran area of Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district on Wednesday, sparking concern among local residents. The incident occurred in an isolated area, and fortunately, there were no reports of damage to life or property.
According to the IAF, the object was inadvertently released from the aircraft due to a technical malfunction while it was flying near the Pokhran firing range. In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the IAF confirmed the occurrence and stated that an inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident further. However, the exact nature of the “air store” that was released has not been disclosed by the authorities.

The IAF has assured the public that the situation is under control and that the inquiry will determine the cause of the technical malfunction. The incident, which could have resulted in a much graver outcome, fortunately led to no harm, underscoring the importance of stringent safety protocols in military operations.
