Buoyed by an overwhelming response to its emission and ride control products from auto OEMs in India, the $4.6-billion Tenneco has set up one more facility near Chennai. This is the seventh Tenneco facility in India to meet the growing demand from auto majors, including CVs, cars and two-wheelers and particularly to cater to the OEMs located in the south, said Tenneco chairman & CEO Gregg Sherill.

?We are looking at becoming a market leader in emission and ride control products through substantial market share. We hope we can achieve it by expanding capacities,? he said.

Tenneco has global customers such as Ford, GM, Volkswagen, BMW and Toyota. ?Their presence through major operations in India will give us furthe advantage through increased sales,” he said.
