Tata Capital, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, and Japan’s Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd (MHCB) has concluded a memorandum of understanding to foster business cooperation, enhance cross-market value creation capabilities, strengthen competitive advantages, and to aid each other in gaining a deeper understanding of the Indian and Japanese markets, a media release said.

In February 2008, Tata Capital and Mizuho Securities (MHSC) had entered into an alliance for private equity, investment banking including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, securities business including broking and distribution, structured finance and other business areas like wealth management.

The current MoU sets out the framework for cooperation in a wide-range of business areas. Some of these include Ninja loans, project and infrastructure finance and treasury products. Praveen P Kadle, managing director, Tata Capital Limited said that the MoU will “help both the entities co-develop innovative offerings and shared services platforms for the evolving corporate customers. The alliance is a step towards Tata Capital fulfilling its vision of emerging as a holistic provider of financial services.?

Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mizuho Financial Group, that provides optimal solutions to major foreign and domestic corporations, financial institutions and public sector entities, primarily in the areas of corporate finance, project finance and trade finance, etc.
