Multinational business process outsourcing company Sutherland Global Services, with significant offshore operations in Chennai, Kochi and Mumbai, has announced that it has signed a customer and technical support agreement with California headquartered Jamba, one of the world?s leading mobile entertainment brands.

Jamba is a joint venture between News Corporation and VeriSign, Inc of the US. Jamba supports more than 2,800 handsets and provides billing connectivity to more than 125 operators worldwide.

As part of this outsourcing agreement, Sutherland will provide product usage support, billing queries, contract extensions and technical support to Jamba?s customers. This is expected to ensure that customers have uninterrupted access to the mobile entertainment products and services.

Founded in 1986, Rochester headquartered Sutherland employs over 21,000 people globally, offering back office and customer lifecycle management services. The company, which has over 11,000 employees in India, is in the process of setting up a campus in Chennai that will support 10,000 people. As part of its Kerala expansion, Sutherland is targeting to double its headcount in Kochi to over 3,000 employees over the next 18 months, according to a Sutherland press release.
